I don’t have anything against water – I know it’s a necessity and there are times where I prefer to drink a fresh clean glass of water over anything else. But let’s face it – it’s boring. Unless you’ve just perspired a few gallons of your own goods or you’re eating some particularly salty chips and yummy salsa, water isn’t all the water it’s cracked up to be. I’m a taste gal. I need flavor.
So I’ve been hoarding boxes of the crystal light packets whenever I see them on BOGO special at the grocery store and the last time I was there I noticed something new. Ocean Spray is now in on the action. Interesting. They were BOGO too so I decided to give ‘em a whirl. The worst thing that could happen is that my kitchen at work would get a new stash of flavor packets that I hated.
The first one I tried was the Cran-Lemonade. TASTY. Seriously – it’s my second favorite out of the 3 I’ve tried so far and it’s far superior to the pink lemonade from crystal light that WAS my favorite. Next on the list was Cran-Pomegranate. YUMMO! A little heavier of a taste than I usually care for, but delicious just the same. And the one that I found last weekend was White Cran-Peach. HOLY COW IT’S AMAZING! Seriously my favorite by far.
So now I’ve got the taste part covered, I’m not consuming a tremendous amount of unnecessary calories (just 5-10 per packet I think) and they are so great I actually keep drinking water all day! Being hydrated makes such a difference in so many ways. The best part about the Ocean Spray packets is they don’t have that strong artificial sweetener aftertaste that Crystal light has.
Ocean Spray – if you’re listening – job well done. These are fantastic and I LOVE them. You’ve definitely won a new customer.
